MORE than 80 mums and grandmas enjoyed afternoon tea with their children at St John's Primary School, Wetley Rocks, on Friday.

All parents who attended were given a bunch of daffodils which had been prepared with ribbons by children in Years Three and Four.

Headteacher Diana Higton said: "Year Five and Six children. along with myself and chairman of the school governors Mrs Stagg. served the parents with tea and cakes along with chocolates made by our school cook Mrs Finney."

She added: "It was a fabulous afternoon and more than 80 mums and grandmas attended."
