Waterfall memory box unveiled

A NEW window box has been unveiled as a living memory of past members of Waterfall Women's Institute.

Members along with their family and friends gathered at a cream tea afternoon to unveil the window box, which has been placed at Waterfall Village Hall.

The unveiling was conducted by Henry Forrester, whose late wife Phyllis was founder member and also the president of the institute for several years.

The six feet solid oak piece, which will also has an engraved plaque, cost £500 and has been funded by the institute's fund-raising activities.

President of the institute, Joyce Mycock, said: "The event was attended by members family and friends. We also had on display our new banner and scrap book archives on display.

"Everyone attending had a lovely afternoon reminiscing."
