VILLAGERS in Onecote staged a successful three-day flower festival over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The event was held at St Luke's Church on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The theme for this year's flower festival was the Water of Life.

All the 11 flower arrangements were situated around the village church, and were all made by members of the local community. These included Noah's Ark, River Nile, Moses in the Bulrushes and Fishermen by the Gate.

During the three day event refreshments along with a cake and plant stall were available in the church for visitors.

On Sunday morning a Morning Prayer service was held, and in the evening Songs of Praise took place.
