MUMS and grandmas joined the children at St Leonard's First School in Ipstones for lunch in celebration of Mothers' Day.

The event takes place every year at the school, when all the pupils get to invite their mums and grandmas to join them for lunch in time to celebrate Mothering Sunday.

Last year the school catered for more 40 mums and grandmas, with the school achieving a similar number again this year. For a charge of just £2.50 mothers and grandmas got to enjoy a delicious home cooked roast dinner with apple sponge and custard for dessert.

Headteacher at the school, David Mellor, said: "We are delighted to see so many mums and grandmas joining us again this year for lunch.
