A Christmas fair held in Longnor proved highly successful.

The joint event was in aid of St Bartholomew's Primary School and Little Hedgehogs Pre School.

A host of stalls, including several crafts from local manufactures were available, along with games and Santa's grotto. Visitors were also entertained with live music, soup and refreshments.

Headteacher at St Bartholomew's School, Sue Evans, said: "The fair attracted a good turnout of people and we managed to raise £400 for school funds, which will be used to take the children to a pantomime at Buxton Opera House."
