A play inspired by old-style variety shows will be portrayed at a village hall this month.
Bash Street Theatre will be at Foxt Village Hall on Saturday, March 21 with 'The Last Illusion'.
A couple of retired music hall troupers look back and remember the good old days spent treading the boards in the variety theatres of a by-gone age.
When they receive an invitation to revive their act for a local cabaret evening, René and Renaldo agree to come out of retirement and prepare for one last farewell performance.
With live music, silent comedy and magical illusions (from sawing the lady in half to a straight jacket escape), this family show will take you on a poignant magical mystery tour to the past and back again. All will be revealed… or will it?
Taking inspiration from the comic genius of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, Bash Street Theatre really captures the feel of the music hall spectacular in what will be a timeless treat or all ages.
Tickets to see Bash Street Theatre's 'The Last Illusion' are priced at £10. Call 01538 266668.
