A FASHION designer has opened her first shop in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Handmade by HollyCrow has been opened in Getliffe’s Yard in Leek by fashion graduate Holly Nancarrow.

Holly, who designs and makes the clothes she is offering, graduated from Derby University with a First Class Degree in Fashion Design.

Already a favourite on the Vintage and Handmade fair circuit, ‘Handmade By HollyCrow’ boasts an eclectic mix of bespoke designs and re-worked vintage items of clothing as well as an original line of home wares and soft furnishings.

The shop also stocks accessories and items of vintage.

Holly has been selling her own designs at vintage fairs and online for the last few years.

After moving back to Leek last October she has become involved with the Totally Locally market and other local businesses, and said that she feels this has given her the push she needed to open her own shop.

She said: “The fairs and markets have been a great way to showcase my designs and to reach lots of new customers, but I have always dreamed of owning my own shop and Leek is the perfect new home for HollyCrow.

“I have always loved Leek and its mix of quirky boutiques and vintage inspired shops, and I have been very lucky to find the ideal location in Getliffe’s Yard.” Along side her off the rail designs, Holly offers a complete bespoke design service and loves the challenge of creating a look especially with a client in mind.

She added: “I love making bespoke orders and work closely with a client taking their ideas and creating something totally unique.

“This has also included designing and making several bridal ranges for brides and bridesmaids who want something a little different for the big day.

“I am looking forward to welcoming old friends and new customers to my new shop.

“I think the shop will be something different for the town and will bring a much more youthful feel to add to the clothing stores currently in Leek.”
