Growing up on the Aussie coast, Ian Macfarlane has made a trip of over 10,500 miles to become the new manager of Leek's Getliffes restaurant and wine bar. Described as Staffordshire's hidden jewel, Getliffe's Restaurant is a trendy and sophisticated establishment where you can chat over a cheese board, catch up with a coffee or relax with a red wine.

Ian is hoping to build on the restaurant's success by indulging the menu with new and exciting flavours and ideas that he has developed from his Australian heritage.

Being nestled within Getliffe's Yard, a stunning Victorian style courtyard, Getliffe's Restaurant compliments its' entire surroundings with its' exterior hinting to how good it is inside. Being a Leek restaurant, management and staff at Getliffe's aim to support the local community by obtaining their goods locally and seeking employment professionals within the area.

With over 20 years experience running a restaurant in Byron Bay, Ian now lives in Leek's neighbouring town of Cheadle.
