Hundreds turn out for The Situation May Birthday Bash at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek.

An arts centre was full of the sounds of music for a 12-hour gig showcasing a multitude of talent.

Not-for-profit music promoters The Situation held their third Birthday Bash at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek on Sunday.

The event, which ran from midday until 11.30pm, saw a variety of music on offer for revellers to enjoy.

In the afternoon, there was smooth sounds from the 'Patio Stage' as families enjoyed lounging on the lawn.

The music moved inside the venue early in the evening for more up-beat tunes and dancing.

The event ended with an energetic set by the popular Flank Dub Department.

The Situation events are organised by Simon Edwards, Steve Hammersley and Andy Norton.

Andy said of Sunday's event: "It was a fantastic day.

"It was great to see all the bands play their hearts out. The atmosphere was fantastic.

"All the bands were great and I would like to thank everyone who came along to the event, and also the volunteers who helped out."
