THIS year the teas, coffees and home made cakes tent at Hope Show is being run by the Friends of Hope Primary School.
Situated not far from the main ring, it is an ideal place to stop off and watch the world go by on Show day. The kitchens of Hope will provide tempting homemade cakes, tray bakes and muffins.
So look out for the refreshment tent on the Showground on August Bank Holiday Monday.
But there’s something at Hope Show for all the family. There will be Sheepdog Trials; cattle and sheep; horse classes in three rings on the showground; heavy horses; sheep shearing and fleeces; gundog competitions and veteran, vintage and classic cars and motorcycles; a horticultural tent, and arts and crafts.
All will be alongside stalls, trade stands and children’s attractions such as face painting, archery, a circus workshop and Punch and Judy.
Hope Show this year will feature 'Blazing Saddles', a Stunt Team who perform amazing stunts on horseback – a real must see.
Hope Show will be on August Bank holiday Monday, and the gates open at 8am. The Grand Parade is at 3pm. Parking is free at the Showground between Hope and Castleton.
