Teenager faces girl kidnap charges

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with kidnap and sexual assault by detectives investigating an alleged assault on a five-year-old girl.

The incident is said to have happened in Andover, Hampshire, on Sunday September 2, a spokesman for Hampshire Police said.

The boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was charged on Friday night for offences on a child under 13.

He remained in police custody overnight and will appear at Aldershot Magistrates' Court later on Saturday.
