A SERIES of half-term activities are taking place at Leek Library.

The fun starts on Monday, February 17. From 10.30am-12pm children aged four-plus are welcome to Plant a Pot!

There is a charge of 50p per child but everything is provided. Please telephone to secure a place.

Textile and Printing Crafts sessions led by artist Chris Thompson will be on offer during the week of half-term.

On Monday afternoon at 1pm-2.30pm children aged from five to eigh will be able to try Mono Printing.

This is a fun, messy way to create an original one-off print.

Parents will need to stay and perhaps lend a hand for this event and as you will be using paints please wear old clothes.

At 2.30pm-4pm children aged nine-13 can take part in the textile workshop 'Make a Silk Worm Finger Puppet'.

Chris will be on hand to give all the help required so do not worry if you are not an expert at sewing.

On Friday, February 21, the two Textile and Printing Sessions will be repeated.

Mono Printing will run from 10am-11.30am for children aged five-eight.

From 11.30am-1pm you can 'Make a Silk Worm Puppet'.

This is suitable for children aged nine-13 years old. Booking is advisable!

The artist Chris Thompson has his own website, www.warmigloo.net.

As there are limited spaces available please telephone Leek Library to reserve a free place on 01538 483207.
