Buxton Opera House is welcoming the award-winning Regan De Wynter Theatre Company from Australia, to perform their all-male show HMS Pinafore by Gilbert and Sullivan.

Their acclaimed tour of Pirates across Australia ended with an invitation to perform at Cate Blanchett's Sydney Theatre, with the show being heralded as 'delightful from the outset, a joyous, inventive, lively affair' by Time Out, Sydney.

Regan De Wynter's new Gilbert & Sullivan HMS Pinafore is set to be just as special. Inspired by a scrapbook of POWs performing G&S during World War II, the award-winning team brings G&S below deck, where the troops set out a distraction from the goings on above board.

This production (of one of the most popular operetta tales) includes infectious tunes and a beautifully constructed libretto, dealing with the age-old conundrum of love between social classes - joyful, witty and fun for all the family.
