APPROPRIATELY adjacent to Thomson Travel on Derby Street is the hidden entrance to Getliffes Yard, through which you can travel back in time to a bygone era.

The three cottages and stables that have stood in Getliffes Yard since the early 19th Century had fallen into disrepair until Anne and Paul Morris saw their potential for development in 1987. Today, restored to its former lively character, Getliffes Yard is a vibrant community of shops, businesses and cafes. Original cobblestones below a magnificent glass dome offers a relaxed atmosphere.

Easy to walk past, but impossible to ignore once discovered, Getliffes Yard is a destination you won't want to miss. If Leek is the Queen of the Moorlands, Getliffes Yard is certainly the jewel in her crown.
