TRIBUTES have been made to a 21-year-old man following his death.
Gavin Ball, from Mill Lane, Wetley Rocks, died at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire on Saturday, October 5.
He had been found unconscious at an address in Mill Lane, Wetley Rocks, four days before.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “We were called to an address on Mill Lane in Wetley Rocks at about 9.30pm on Tuesday, October 1, following the discovery of an unconscious man.
“He was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire by colleagues from the ambulance service.
“Sadly he died in hospital on Saturday, October 5. He has been named as Gavin Ball, aged 21, of Mill Lane, Wetley Rocks.”
A death notice in the Post & Times today says: “Gavin was the much loved son of Dianne Prince and Charlie Ball, a special brother, much missed and loved by many.” Tributes have been flooding in to Gavin’s page on the social networking site Facebook.
Gavin’s mum Dianne wrote: “Would like to say a massive thank you to everyone. Gavin was one of a kind – a free spirit. Loved by all. Especially me. Want him back. God bless you love you loads”"
Darren Prince said: “Will you miss you brother. Rest In Peace."
Lydia Ball said: “Rest in peace Gavin. I know you'll be keeping your eye on me from up there. You'll always be in my heart. I love you.”
Chris Daly said: “RIP Gavin a top bloke it was good to know you. So sad sleep well matey.” Sarah Alcock said: “RIP Gav you'll be missed.”

The funeral of Gavin is being arranged by S Sigley & Sons Funeral Directors of Leek.
Police have confirmed that a report on his death has been submitted to the HM Coroner’s Court.
