COMMUNITY Groups are being urged to apply for funding which is available locally.
If your community group needs some extra funding then Your Moorlands, part of Your Housing Group, may be able to help.
The Your Moorlands Tenant Scrutiny Panel is due to allocate £10,000 to good causes in the local area. Community groups are invited to apply for up to £1,000 to support projects that improve the lives of people across Staffordshire Moorlands and High Peak.
This is the third year that the Community Projects Fund has been in operation and £30,000 in total has been allocated to worthwhile projects to date, with 47 local groups from across the Staffordshire Moorlands being supported. Groups who have been successful in previous years are welcome to re-apply.
Gavin McAlister, Community Projects Officer for Your Moorlands, said: "The Community Projects Fund has made a huge difference to local groups doing great work over the last three years and we're delighted to be open for applications again.
"We have supported some great projects in the past and would like to hear from both these and new applicants this time round."
A wide range of local groups from across Staffordshire Moorlands have received support from the fund over the past two years, including youth clubs, church and voluntary groups and residents associations.
The closing date for applications is January 15, 2014. Priority will be given to projects which help achieve the Your Housing Group Vision of "transforming your lives and your communities".
