THERE is a host of activities at Leek’s Library this half term.
On Monday (February 17), from 10.30am until 12noon children aged four years and over are welcome to Plant a Pot.
Everything will be provided for a cost of 50p.
Textile and Printing Crafts sessions led by artist Chris Thompson will be on offer during the week of half term.
On Monday afternoon at 1pm-2.30pm children aged from five to eight years old will be able to try Mono Printing; a fun messy way to create an original one-off print.
Parents will need to stay and perhaps lend a hand for this event and participants are advised to wear old clothes as the use of paints will be involved.
At 2.30pm until 4pm children aged nine to 13 years old can take part in the textile workshop ‘Make a Silk Worm Finger Puppet’. Chris will be on hand to give all the help required.
On Friday, February 21 the two Textile and Printing Sessions will be repeated. Mono Printing will run from 10am-11.30am for children aged five to eight years old. From 11.30am-1.00pm youngsters can ‘Make a Silk Worm Puppet’. This is suitable for children aged nine-13 years old.
As there are limited spaces available parents are advised to call Leek Library to reserve places for any of the above workshops, on 01538 483207.
