A 29-year-old local woman has been killed in a fatal road traffic collision between Draycott and Blythe Bridge

Police officers are investigating a road traffic collision which happened at around 8.25am on Monday on Uttoxeter Road between Draycott and Blythe Bridge.

A car was in collision with a heavy goods vehicle.

The driver of the car, a 29 year-old local woman, was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire by ambulance but, despite the best efforts of ambulance and hospital staff, later died from her injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time to call PC Brian Lovatt at the Collision Investigation Unit on 01785 234094 by calling 101 quoting incident 123 of 14 April.
