Farm2grow holding an open day at Consall lane, on the A522 Leek to Cheadle Road

A SOCIAL enterprise is throwing its gates open to the public.

On Saturday, September 6, Farm2grow will be holding the family event at its site at the top of Consall lane, on the A522 Leek to Cheadle Road.

Entry will be £1 per car for entry to the farm to see not just animals, but a host of stalls selling locally produced crafts and goods including fresh local chemical free produce.

There will be live music and the chance to attend several workshop/demonstrations including grooming a pony, willow weaving, bee keeping and honey extraction, making pure juice and smoothies, chainsaw woodworking and green woodworking crafts, as well as the chance to meet some of the animals at the facility

The event will celebrate the work of the farm's young people who have been involved in the project, including the unveiling of a large hand painted mural.

Farm2grow is a social enterprise set up to help people from all walks of life to access the healing properties of nature.

It does this on the farm by running courses in rural crafts and teaching people new skills.
