FINAL preparations are being made for the annual Family Fun Day and Dog Show to be held in Onecote this Sunday (September 15).

The event, which will be held on the field opposite to the village hall, has proved very successful and popular over the last few years and organisers have once again put together a programme for all the family.

Last year the event raised £1,800 and attracted and entry of 96 dogs who took part in the many different classes. The day will start at 11am and will involve a Kennel Club companion dog class, pedigree and novelty classes, prettiest bitch, handsome dog and loveable rogue. There will be 16 classes and organisers state that dogs do not have to be registered with the kennel Club to enter except the Companion dog class which is limited to members of the Kennel Club.

Entertainment will include terrier racing, car boot, children's races and games, bouncy castle, stalls, food and bar. Entry to the day is £1 adults with children free. For further show details or to book a car boot or stall contact Diane on 01538 304594. For dog show enquiries telephone Karen on 01538 703568 or Joanne on 01538 304453.
