HEAVY rain once again played havoc with fixtures in the Evo-stik Northern Premier League First Division South.

League leaders Halesowen Town's visit to Gresley was among four games off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Second-placed Coalville Town took advantage of Halesowen's activity to close the gap on the West Midlands outfit to just one point with a 1-0 win at Rainworth Miners Welfare.

Kidsgrove Athletic's three game unbeaten run came to a shuddering halt with a 4-0 defeat at Loughborough Dynamo.

To their credit, Kidsgrove kept fighting all the way and former Leek Town player Matt Haddrell was unlucky to have a goal disallowed for offside and then had a shot blocked when it seemed he must score.
