THIS month's event from music promoters The Situation forms part of this year's debut Leek Blues And Americana Festival, and the organisers have put together a fantastic evening's entertainment for music lovers.

Inspired by bands including the Beatles, the Who, the Sex Pistols, the Kinks, David Bowie, Foo Fighters and Led Zep, they have developed a really unique sound.

Opening The Situation evening is outstanding singer-songwriter Alix Musso, from Stoke-on- Trent, with his blues-tinged laments on modern life. The event takes place on Friday,, October 4, at the Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek. Tickets are available at £4 from the bands, the venue, Music Mania, Hanley, online, or pay £5 on the door.
