POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary in a Staffordshire Moorlands village.

Officers were called to a report of the incident at around 4.40am on Saturday, September 28).

A spokesman said: “Offenders forced entry to a home in Rushton Spencer and stole a number of antique items, including paintings.

“An investigation into the burglary is under way and anyone with information is asked to contact DS Rich Baddeley at Staffordshire Police quoting incident number 144 of September 28.

“Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
