STAFFORDSHIRE is full of thrills, spills and adventures. From trekking through tree tops to braving adrenalin inducing rollercoasters or hitting the water with a splash, there is an array of fantastic days out to keep you entertained. Check out Enjoy Staffordshire’s five adventures in the county this summer

Aerial Extreme at the Trentham Estate

Give Tarzan a run for his money at Aerial Extreme, the tree based High Ropes Adventure Course set within the scenic 725 acre grounds at the Trentham Estate. Visitors are challenged to tackle 22 obstacles including rope bridges and swinging logs, ranging from three to 14 metres off the ground. Adrenalin seekers will love the 118 metre zip wire which will take them sailing through the forest canopy, reaching speeds of up to 20mph! Until 1 September, Aerial Extreme is offering 3 for 2 on entry. Individual ticket prices are £21 for children and £26 for adults with discounts for families. You’d be barking to miss out on this tree-mendous trip.

Get wet and wild during an action packed day at Wakelake, set in the vast reservoir within Chasewater Country Park. There’s something for everyone, from the beginner to the expert, including wake boarding and water zorbing, donut rides and stand-up paddleboarding. Drayton Manor Theme Park

Visit Drayton Manor Theme Park this summer and brave some of the biggest, wettest and scariest rides around, from Shockwave, Europe’s only stand-up rollercoaster, to new thrill ride Air Race, a stomach-churning aerial experience. Young adventurers will love Europe’s only Thomas Land™, packed with 21 rides and attractions, whilst animal lovers can find over a hundred species from around the world at Drayton Manor Zoo. With theatre shows, a Dino Trail to recall the days of the dinosaurs and many other attractions there is plenty to entertain the whole family. This year the popular presenters and characters from Channel 5’s Milkshake will be bopping away at the park too. Admission prices start from £20. Drayton Manor is also offering season passes at £50 for adults and £25 for children aged 2-3, enabling unlimited access to the park, as well as other retail and catering outlet discounts, until 31 October.

For real adventure junkies, Peak Pursuits offers action-packed fun days out in the Peak District. Exciting challenges, team building, stag and hen dos and youth group activities will keep everyone entertained. Climbing, abseiling, canoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, raft building, orienteering and archery are just some of the activities on offer. Expert instructors who are passionate about the outdoors are there to guide and help you to make the most of your adventures.
