A FORMER police station is to be turned into a hearing centre.

Bloom Hearing Specialists is to open a new branch in the disused Endon Police Post, in Leek Road, after planning permission was granted.

Staffordshire Police closed down the post, which served as a base for a PCSO and special constable serving Endon, Brown Edge, Bagnall and Stockton Brook, last year.

The officers decided the areas could be better served by moving the officers' base to Leek.
