IF YOU are having a clearout and have an unwanted sofa, bed or clothes, then if you don't want it, The Donna Louise Children's Hospice does. The Donna Louise is looking for more donations for its shops across the area to help raise vital funds to help support and care around 180 families from across Staffordshire and Cheshire. It even offers a free collection service for large household items such as furniture and white goods, including fridges and cookers, by calling 01785 816050. The shops at Derby Street, Leek, Stafford Street in Hanley, and Stone High Street, along with Your Shop Superstores at Lonsdale Road, Stoke-on-Trent, and Brook Street, Leek, sell everything for the home. In particular, the charity is looking for sofas and bedroom furniture, along with fridges and cookers, which have been very popular at its Your Shop Superstores in Stoke and Leek as well as baby items such as pushchairs and buggies. Martin Evans, Area Manager for The Donna Louise Shops, said: "Donating items is not only a great way of recycling things, but it is also helping to raise money for local children and their families at The Donna Louise." All the shops are open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and Your Shop Stoke is open on Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
