Here are just two of the dogs which the Moorlands Dog Rescue team are currently looking for forever homes for.
Staffordshire Bull terrier cross Coco, above, is around 18 months old and members of the Moorlands Dog Rescue are extremely keen to find her a secure future with the love she deserves.
Louise Platt, from Moorlands Dog Rescue, said: "We pulled Coco off death row. She has been in kennels for around five months now but isn't coping very well.
"She is so stressed and run down - she is just craving for love from her own family.
"We have not managed to put her with any foster carer as, even though she does get on with other dogs, she ideally needs somewhere without any other dogs as she needs so much attention.
"She is a lovely girl. Very affectionate and clever. She will make somebody a fabulous pet."
Moorlands Dog Rescue are also keen to find two-year-old Musket a loving home.
Described as a 'clever and lively' Patterdale, Musket, below, is currently in foster care but is in need of a forever home.
Louise said: "Musket can live with children and other dogs, however no cats or small furries.
"He likes company, exploring walks and playing with his ball. He is very loving and affectionate."
