HAVE too many mince pies and turkey left you feeling rather out of sorts?
Then why not start the New Year by joining members of Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook Historical Society on their walk around Dilhorne on Sunday, January 5.
Starting at 11.15 am from Dilhorne Recreation and Community Centre, the walk and talk will be taken by Levison Wood, the secretary of the society. He said: "It's a fairly easy walk that takes in a modest hill to explore how the village has grown from pre-Roman times to the present day.
"With some geology of the landscape thrown in for good measure and a visit to All Saints' Church, participants will discover some of the village's past colourful traditions and characters."
A pair of stout, waterproof shoes are needed and in the event of inclement weather suitable waterproofs should be worn.
The walk will last for about one-and-a-half hours with money raised being donated to the charity 'Army Benevolent Fund'.
Good parking is available, and the cost of taking part is £2.50.
