FRIENDS and family have said a final farewell to a nurse who died following a car crash.

The funeral of Christie Gallon, who suffered fatal injuries after her car came into collision with a lorry on Uttoxeter Road, between Draycott and Blythe Bridge, on April 14, took place today (Wednesday April 30) at Cheadle Parish Church at 11.30am, prior to cremation at Carmountside Crematorium.

Christie's parents asked those attending the funeral to wear something 'bright and bubbly' to reflect their daughter's personality.

Christie, aged 29, from Cheadle is a former pupil at Painsley High School.
