A BEER festival at a town's pub has been hailed as a success by the organisers.

Titanic Brewery's Roebuck in Leek hosted a weekend-long beer festival from Friday through to Bank Holiday Monday which included a host of live music.

The festival also included the added aspect of a Handmade and Vintage Fair on Monday which saw more than 15 local and regional traders displaying their wares at the Derby Street public house.

Landlord Nick Bradstreet said: "The weekend has gone really well. We did have quite bad weather on Friday night but the support from the public was still great.

"This was the first time that we hosted a Handmade and Vintage Fair but it worked really well.

"It fit in with the town's totally locally initiative and we are hoping to host another fair in October and then another one around Christmas time."
