The latest cases to appear before North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme

Ashley Mark Woodcock, of 81 Queen Street, Cheadle, aged 19, has been charged with taking a car without the owner's consent and causing damage to the vehicle and wall of a property in Cheadle on March 22. He appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced on July 28. 

Gary Stevenson, of Rose Cottage, Garston, Whiston, aged 43, has been charged with failing to provide a required breath specimen in Etruria on June 21. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on September 22. 

Adrian Mark Colman, of Rose Cottage, Garston, Whiston, aged 48, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Ipstones on June 21, which led to an accident whereby damage was caused to another vehicle. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £400, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and costs of £85, and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 17 months. 

Ashley George Stephen Ford, of 28 Morley Street, Leek, aged 19, has been charged with assault in Leek on June 18. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on conditional bail until September 3 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Charges against him of theft in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on June 30 have been discontinued. 

Cameron Mark Fernyhough, of 6 Kiln Lane, Leek, aged 22, has been charged with failing to comply with a suspended sentence order. He admitted the breach and has been given a prison term of four months, suspended or 12 months, and ordered to pay costs of £60. 

David Brian Lovatt, of 8 Harbourne Road, Cheadle, aged 35, has been charged with driving while prohibited without reasonable excuse in Tean on June 6. He pleaded guilty and has been remanded on conditional bail until July 31 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court. 

Philip Ashby, of 59 Mackenzie Crescent, Cheadle, aged 30, has been charged with being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control and injured a child in Tean Road Recreation Ground, Cheadle, on May 1. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £275, ordered to pay compensation of £1,000 and a victim surcharge of £28 and costs of £85. He has also been ordered to keep the dog under proper control and to be muzzled and on a lead or harness and to be castrated. 

Andrew David Goldstraw, of 38 Wardle Crescent, Leek, aged 39, has been charged with two counts of assault and resisting a police officer in Packmoor on April 21. He pleaded not guilty to the assaults and guilty to resisting a police officer and has been remanded on unconditional bail until September 2 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. 

Cameron James King, of 1 Back View, Kingsley, aged 20, has been charged with theft in Hanley on June 11, failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on July 2, and making prohibited contact without reasonable excuse on July 5. He pleaded guilty to the first charges and not guilty to the third charge and has been remanded on conditional bail until August 11 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. 

Sean Victor Waterhouse, of 37 Ball Haye Road, Leek, Aged 27, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in public in Leek on June 13. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £90, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85. 

Andrew Gunn, of 16 The Avenue, Cheddleton, aged 49, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Cobridge on June 20. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £475, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £47 and costs of £85 and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months. 

Nathan Smith, of 17 Westwood Park Avenue, Leek, aged 25, has been charged with assault in Trentham on June 7. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £265, ordered to pay compensation of £50 and a victim surcharge of £25 and costs of £85. 

Thomas James Snape, of 35 Whitfield Street, Leek, aged 30, has been charged with harassment between June 4 and June 10 in Leek. He pleaded guilty and has been given a restraining order for two years and fined £420, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £42 and costs of £85. 

Pamela Mary Davey, of Flat 43, Rowan Court, Mayfield Drive, Blythe Bridge, aged 56, has been charged with being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control and injured another person in Blythe Bridge on June 23, 2013. She pleaded not guilty and has been found guilty and fined £100, ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85. It has been ordered that the dog be kept under proper control. 

Jonathon Heath, of 1 Meadow Close, Forsbrook, aged 42, has been charged with two counts of assault in Cheadle on April 27. He pleaded guilty to the first charge and not guilty to the second charge and has been remanded on unconditional bail until July 24 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. 

David Hassell, of 98 Tean Road, Cheadle, aged 30, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Cheadle on March 23. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until September 10 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. 

Claire Brewin, of 53 Johnstone Avenue, Werrington, aged 45, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Werrington on June 10. She pleaded guilty and has been fined £230, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £23 and costs of £85 and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 14 months. 

Nicholas Harrison, of Sawrey Lodge, Cotton Lane, Cotton, aged 43, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Oakamoor on May 15. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £1,330 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £266 and costs of £85 and disqualified from driving for 12 months. 

Robert Alexander McCracken, of 4 Egerton Close, Blythe Bridge, aged 49, has been charged with assault in Blythe Bridge on March 26. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until July 23 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. 

The case of Peter Sadler, of 56 Grosvenor Street, Leek, aged 50, who was charged with assault in Rudyard on March 26, has been discontinued. 

James Andrew Johnson, of Flat 1, High Street, Cheadle, aged 21, has been charged with assault in Cheadle on May 30. He has been given a prison sentence of four months suspended for 12 months and a supervision order for 12 months, and must carry out supervised unpaid work for 100 hours. He has also been ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85. 

Ryan Walters, of 36 Cotehill Road, Werrington, aged 19, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in public in Hanley on April 20. He pleaded guilty and has been given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85. Two charges of unlawful damage and using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour towards others in Stoke-on-Trent on April 20 have been dismissed. 

Daniel Kenneth Standell, of 78 Selbourne Road, Leek, aged 21, has been charged with failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a community order. A warrant has been issued for his arrest without bail. 

Andrew Derek Pedder, of 6 Hill Top Close, Brown Edge, aged 36, has been charged with assault and using towards another person threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Hanley and Stoke-on-Trent on May 8. He pleaded guilty and has been given a community order for 12 months and must carry out supervised unpaid work for 80 hours and must pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.
