Stephan John Ball, of 76 Haregate Road, Leek, aged 25, has been charged with stealing meat valued £15.90 belonging to Farmfoods in Leek on September 6. He pleaded not guilty and has been granted unconditional bail and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court.

Martin Freeman, of 22 Blythe Mount Park, Blythe Bridge, aged 47, has been charged with driving a Vauxhall Astra on Gridley Lane, Blythe Bridge, on July 27 while over the drink drive limit and without a licence. He pleaded guilty and has been committed to prison 17 weeks and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 60 months.

Shawn Ryan Hackney, of 12b High Street, Cheadle, aged 27, has been charged with committing fraud in Hanley on September 26, 2011, after presenting a cheque in a false name intending to make a gain of £322.39; committing fraud in Fenton on January 31, 2012, by using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £24; committing fraud in Fenton on February 5, 2012, by using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £13.80; committing fraud in Birches Head on February 6, 2012, by using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £145.50; committing fraud in Longton on February 13, 2012, after using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £33.44; committing fraud in Alton on February 13, 2012, by using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £174.84; committing fraud in Alton on February 14, 2012, by using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £220.02; committing fraud in Alton on February 15, 2012, by using a credit card in a false name intending to make a gain of £142.50. He has also been charged with being in possession and producing cannabis in Birches Head on July 12, 2012. He has also been charged for breaching the terms of a suspended sentence order made by Manchester City Crown Court on September 19, 2011, for the offences of false representation. He has also been charged with stealing a handbag in Alton on August 17; stealing a mobile phone valued £520 in Alton on June 1; stealing a handbag and contents worth £320 in Alton on June 16; stealing a handbag valued £400 in Alton on June 1. He has also been charged with producing seven cannabis plants in Cheadle on June 18. He has pleaded guilty to all charges and admits the breach and has been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court to appear on a date and time yet to be fixed.

Leslie Anthony Ball, of 59 Thorley Drive, Cheadle, aged 45, has been charged with assaulting Lisa Rausch between March 29 and April 3 and on May 24 in Stoke-on-Trent. He pleaded not guilty and was found guilty and given a community order to present himself to a supervisor where and when directed for 60 days to complete Structured Intervention to Address Domestic Abuse Workbook and to attend appointments with the responsible officer at times and places directed for six months. A restraining order has also been made against him not to contact Lisa Rausch until September 12, 2015, and to pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £620.

Ian Burrows, of 39 Uplands Avenue, Werrington, aged 61, has been charged with assaulting Pauline Burrows in Werrington on August 24. He pleaded not guilty and has been granted on unconditional bail to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court on November 14.

Oliver Cameron Ley, of 51 Leek Road, Cheadle, aged 21, has been charged with being in possession of a kitchen knife in St Johns Square, Burslem, on August 11. He pleaded guilty and has been committed to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, and must participate in the Offending Workbook for six days and attend appointments with the responsible officer at times and places as directed for 12 months and carry out supervised unpaid work for 120 hours within the next 12 months. He has also been ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and court costs of £85.

Jamie Anthony Barnett, of 44 Chapel Street, Forsbrook, aged 34, has been charged with driving a BMW on Grindley Lane, Blythe Bridge, while over the drink drive limit on July 26. He pleaded not guilty and has been granted unconditional bail and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court on October 17.

Mark Gregory Wilson, of 178 Draycott Old Road, Forsbrook, aged 44, has been charged with failing to attend follow-up assessment at 12 noon on July 19 at CRI Hope Street, Hanley. He pleaded guilty and has been given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and court costs of £85.

Malcolm Amison, of 50 Blythe Mount Park, Blythe Bridge, aged 67, has been charged with driving a Toyota Yaris on Blythe Mount Park while in Blythe Bridge on July 23 while over the drink drive limit. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £135, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85 and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 44 months.

Keith Barnett, of 39 Chapel Street, Forsbrook, aged 66, has been charged with driving a Vauxhall Astra on Blythe Bridge level crossing on April 26 without due care and attention. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £50 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £35 and his licence has been endorsed with three points.

James Emery, of 51 victory Crescent, Cheadle, aged 32, has been charged with assaulting Kelly Emery in Cheadle on March 13 and damaging a Vauxhall Astra in Cheadle n March 15. He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was found guilty of both charges and has been given a community order to attend appointments with the responsible officer at times and places directed for 12 months, he must pay a total of £1,215 compensation, a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £450.

The case of Brian Steven Scragg, of 146 Leek Road, Cheadle, aged 38, who was charged with stealing a single axle trailer from Uttoxeter valued £850 between June 11 and June 14, and stealing a twin axle trailer valued £2,000 from Uttoxeter between June 11 and June 14, has been discontinued.

He pleaded guilty and has been fined £300, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £120 and his licence has been endorsed with three points.

Martin Elliot, of 3 Dryden Way, Cheadle, aged 47, has been charged with driving an Audi on Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge, on March 12 without due care and attention. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £185 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £25 and his licence has been endorsed with three points.
