CHECKLEY are through to the final of the JS Sports Talbot Cup after beating North Staffs and South Cheshire League Premier Division rivals Audley by 15 runs.
Michael Allen's side will have home advantage against Stone or Hem Heath after their success at Kent Hills on Sunday.
The win rounded off a happy weekend for Checkley who beat rock-bottom Burslem in the league previous day.
Skipper Allen said: "We needed the win on Saturday and then we produced a good performance in the cup, it was a good weekend.
"We're performing well at the moment and we've got a bit of confidence and buzz back which we were perhaps lacking in mid-season.
Checkley were forced to dig in after being reduced to 30-3 by Audley.
However, a 163-run fourth-wicket stand between Allen (99no) and Nick Hunt (77) put them back on track to sign off at 223-5 from their 45 overs.
Audley began positively in reply with Imran Arif (54) and Dean Bedson (38) compiling 92 for the first wicket.
But the introduction of off-spinner Richard Williams helped to turn the ride as he picked up impressive figures of 4-29.
Despite 22 runs apiece from Andrew Johnson and David Cooper down the order, Audley were bowled out for 208 with eight balls remaining.
