THIS year's Music in the Park event will be taking place on Sunday, May 25, at Tean Road recreation Ground in Cheadle from 1pm to 9.30pm.
Admission is totally free of charge and will give the people of Cheadle the chance to see leading local and national musicians including a brass band.
There will be a band called 'Herbaceous Borders', a unique rock band called 'Start the Car', with a fantastic youth Jazz band entertaining us as well.
But the stars of the show will be a fantastic Beatle tribute band bringing 'Beatle Mania' to Cheadle.
There will be two stages in order to ensure continuity of the days event, a fully licensed bar with a full array of refreshments available or you can bring your own picnic lunch and relax and enjoy the music and your own refreshments.
Sponsorship is important as the town council is making this musical extravaganza a free of charge event.
Given the success of last year's showpiece, if any business or individual who feels like they would like to sponsor this event or know of a music group who would relish this opportunity, then your sponsorship could be two fold, both for the group and for the event.
In return you will be given maximum publicity with a sponsorship board displayed in the town with all names of sponsors for the Cheadle Music in The Park, also publicity will be provided on the recreation ground.
If anyone wishes to express an interest in this event, be it as a performer, brand new or established, or as a sponsor, you must contact town clerk Helen Hunter on 01538 754288 to express your interest.
The Music in the Park Event is entirely organised by the Cheadle Town Council and will be led and opened by the Cheadle Town Mayor.
