At 10.25am on Thursday 28th August at Co-op Store, High Street, Tean, a male entered the store and stole approximately £100 worth of chocolate from the location. He was challenged by a female staff member but refused to return the goods. He made off with the stolen chocolate. Police believe this is the same male responsible for a similar theft a month before where £135 worth of chocolate was taken. On Thursday 28th August a purse was stolen from the counter at Andy's Off License , Tape Street, Cheadle. The female offender was identified and arrested at a nearby address. Nicola Prince, aged 33, from Tape Street, Cheadle, has subsequently been charged with theft and bailed to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
Between 6.30pm on Wednesday 27th August and 8am on Thursday 28th August a burglary occurred at Captain Barns Farm, Leek Road, Weston Coyney, where unknown offenders have entered location and stolen over £6,000 worth of saddlery equipment, saddles and tack before making good their escape. Between Friday and Monday, August 23 and 25, unknown people have entered the school ground of Blythe Bridge High School and smashed three double glazed windows at the location before making good their escape. At 8.15pm on Friday, August 29, a male and female entered the Tesco Express, Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge, before the male was seen concealing £24 worth of meat joints about his person before making good his escape. On Tuesday, August 26, a fire was deliberately started at Leek Rugby Club, Villa Road, Cheddleton in the Groundsman's Hut and £800 worth of Rugby equipment was damaged. The fire and Rescue service have confirmed this was a deliberate ignition and is being investigated as an Arson.
