CHEADLE Cricket Club's 2013 awards were presented to the following:

1ST XI

Batting - Darren Plant, 602 runs, 33.44 average.

Bowling - Steve Morgan, 56 wickets, 14.71 average.

2ND XI

Batting – Ryan Harvey 269 runs, 24.45 average.

Bowling – Charlie Goldstraw, 26 wickets, 10.38 average.

SUNDAY XI

Batting – Ryan Harvey, 125 runs, 25.00 average.

Bowling – Will Dobbie 24 wickets 10.88 average.

David Burton Trophy (most catches) – Darren Plant, 13.

Philip Walton Trophy (Player of the Year) – James Sellers, 300 league runs and 61 wickets, including five five-wicket hauls.

Millennium Shield (match-winning performance) –Chris Barker – four for 17, including hat-trick vs Little Stoke 1st X1. Won by 54 runs.

Outstanding Service Award - Shane Bratt and Ian Plant.

Net practice starts at Cheadle Sports Barn on Friday, January 31 between 6pm and 9pm. More details from Trevor Sellers on 07870 531693.

The club is holdnig its Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 13, in the pavilion, beginning at 7.45pm. Old and new members alike are welcome to attend.
