A DOG who has started to self harm himself by becoming stressed in a kennel environment is urgently seeking a new home.
Bronson is a crossbreed and around 10 months old. He previously had an owner, but when he was no longer welcome in that home he was advertised on Facebook and given away to the first person who responded.
He is presently being care for by Cheadle Animal Welfare Society.
A spokesman for the society said: "Within two days of going into a new home he was found as a stray and no-one has come forward to claim him. How sad is that?
"He is a lovely, handsome dog who gets on well with other dogs and loves to be with people. Sadly he is getting more and more stressed in a kennel environment and has now started to self harm.
"We have tried putting him in different parts of the kennels, kennelled him with another young dog, taken him out more frequently for walks and given him lots of toys, but nothing helps. It is so distressing to see.
"He has visited the vets to see if there is a physical problem for his behaviour, but it seems to be caused by stress. He simply is not happy in the kennels and wants to be out."
If someone can help by giving either a foster or permanent home to Bronson, who is fully vaccinated and micro-chipped, Cheadle Animal Welfare Society will give as much support as is necessary to them.
