Haregate Community Centre and Help For Heroes charity walkers put best feet forward

The team set off on their charity walk from Haregate Community Centre on Monday.

VOLUNTEERS and staff from a community centre have set off on an 180-mile walk to raise funds for the centre and Help For Heroes.

The fund-raisers from Haregate Community Centre in Queens Drive, Leek, left the centre to embark on the challenge on Monday, August 4.

The team comprising Debbie Knott, Laura Cottingham, Emma Knott-Cummins, Georgia Knott-Cummins, Chloe Cottingham, Ruby Millward, Megan Strutt and Lynda Mackie will be walking to Albermarle Barracks in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne over 12 days in a bid to raise £1,500.

If anyone wishes to make a donation they can drop-in at the centre or they can text MEGA14 followed by the amount they wish to donate to 70070.
