A WEB-INSPIRED fund-raising evening will be staged at a school this month.
The Faber Ebay Evening will take place on Friday, September 27 with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7.15pm star for the auction.
The auction, at Faber School in Cotton, will take the same lines as the online shopping website of Ebay where each item will be labelled with either: BNWT (Brand New With Tags), BNWOT (Brand New Without Tags), VGC (Very Good Condition), and Excellent Condition.
The school are inviting people to auction items such as adults or children's clothes, handbags, jewellery and footwear, in return for a 25 percent share of the auction price which will go to school funds.
A spokesman for Friends of Faber, which is the group organising the event, said: "This event is to take the hassle out of the postage and packaging for sellers.
"We need people to label each item with their name, a minimum amount they wish to receive from the auction and if they want items returning to them if not sold. We will assume that if items are not labelled that people are happy for all proceeds to go to school funds, and if not sold they will then be used for Bags to School.
"This event will only be a success if we have lots of items to auction."
Admission to the Faber Ebay Evening will be £1.
