A VILLAGE is to launch its own calendar following a photographic competition among residents.

The new 2015 calendar for Hartington illustrates the village through the seasons.

Staff from Leek School of Art, part of Buxton & Leek College, took on the tricky task of judging the 120 photographs submitted for the fund-raising project to aid the refurbishment of Hartington Village Hall.

Now 14 villagers, from schoolchildren to pensioners, will see their photos featured in the £7.99 calendar which goes on sale this month at the village flower festival.
