MORE than 70 Maths students from years seven to 10 earned their places on The Cheadle Academy's annual Maths Rewards trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Students, who earned places due to attitude and a sustained and positive work ethic, were congratulated by the Maths Department.
Maths teacher Helen Forrest said: "The trip was a great success. Students represented the Academy in the best possible light and this was a fantastic way to reward their determined, hard work. The weather was excellent. We spent a sun and fun-filled 6 hours plus, riding the coasters and enjoying seaside games.
"Most left with photos of themselves riding 'the Big One'- even some of the staff."
From Valhalla to the Big Dipper and other classics, students made full use of their day and agreed that the trip was a brilliant way to reward their hard work.
Each half term one student is nominated by their maths teacher and receives a certificate, badge and invitation to go on the trip. Students were allowed to bring a friend along too.
