Buxton & Leek College is placed fourth nationally

STUDENTS and staff at Buxton and Leek College are celebrating the recently published results which placed the college fourth out of 220 colleges nationally for 16-18 year old results in 2012/13.

Delighted Deputy Principal Mary Blauciak said:

"Our success also applies to 19 plus students where results placed us in the top 5 percent of colleges nationally. We expect our results for the current year (2013/14) to be even better".

This performance rounds off a very successful academic year where Ofsted graded the College as 'good' in all aspects of the inspection - the best inspection result for either of the pre-merged colleges in over 15 years.

Mary added: "The college has a reputation for excellent employer links and brilliant support for students and staff with wide ranging industry experience - which is why 90 percent of student's progress to employment or higher education.
