FINANCIAL staff have been getting energetic in aid of charity.

Employees at Britannia in Leek raised funds for charity by taking part in a 24 Hour Fitness Frenzy.

Between them dozens of staff covered a 24-hour period, by undertaking 15 minutes to twohour slots on rowing or running machines.

The day formed part of The Cooperative’s year-long bid to raise £5 million for its Charity of the Year, Carers Trust, which formed last year when the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care came together.

Money raised for Carers Trust will provide breaks, information, advice, support and services for 14 to 25-year-olds facing the challenges of caring.
