A BRASS band will be returning to perform at a Cheadle venue.
The Lions Youth Brass Band will be at St Giles Parish Church in Cheadle on Saturday, October 19, at 7.30pm.
This elite band is formed by youngsters coming through the Lions Beginners Band and the Lions Junior Band and then joining the Youth Band if their skills are up to the required high standard.
The band rehearses at Sandbach every week and is conducted by musical director, Nigel Birch, who has guided the band to consecutive wins in the National Youth Brass Band Championships, the Rhyl Festival of Music and successes in many other competitions.
The players leave the band at the age of 19, many of them entering university to study music and some joining the world famous Fodens Brass Band.
Tickets for the concert are available from Peter Kent on 01538 752220 for £5, which includes light refreshments, or pay on door. Doors will open at 6.45pm and visitors to the church in Church Street should note that parking there is only available to disabled users.
However ample parking is available free on Cheadle's main car park off Tape Street.
