STAFFORDSHIRE County Council proposes to move away from providing out of school activities for all young people throughout the County.

Blythe Bridge has two weekly evening sessions with over 100 youth attending each session and one daily lunchtime session which are held at the Egerton Centre in Blythe Bridge.

The sessions engage young people in positive activities such as sports, IT, health, social activities and provide educational opportunities.

There are also additional sessions during the day and evening to support young people with training and guidance towards their bronze, silver and gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Members of Forsbrook Parish Council are very concerned regarding these proposals and would encourage all interested parties to complete the consultation survey which can be found on www.staffordshire.gov.uk by following the 'Achieving Excellence for Young People' link on the home page.
