BLUES boss Lee Casswell has added to his squad by signing experienced versatile defender/midfielder Karl Espley from Kidsgrove Athletic.

Espley, aged 27, who has played for Alsager Town, Newcastle Town, Stafford Rangers and Kidsgrove, made the starting line-up for the game at Bedworth.

Blues midfielder Niall MaGuire missed the Bedworth game because of a family function in Ireland whilst Michael Thomas was on holiday and Steve Brannan was unavailable due to work. Leek are still without defenders Andy Bratt and Rhys Swetnam through suspension.
