Cheadle In Bloom group look to summer and other Cheadle news

CHEADLE in Bloom group are looking forward to the warmer months after setting the date for their annual summer planting day. This year volunteers will turn out in force on Sunday 1st June to prepare the planters and barrels located throughout the town centre with summer flower plants. If you would like to come along please put the date down in your diary, all are welcome to attend.

A CAR came to rest on its roof following an early morning road traffic collision on Tuesday, January 14. Emergency services were called to the rural village of Hollington at 7.15am following reports of a car on its roof. The incident occurred on Hollington Road at the junction with Lockers Bank and involved a single vehicle - a grey Seat Ibiza. The three occupants were taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for treatment. The road was re-opened to motorists by around 9.20am.

A MUSICAL evening including junior talent competition and guest soloists will take place next month. The event will get underway from 7pm on Wednesday February 12 at Oakamoor Village Hall.

The talent show is an open event and anyone wishing to take part is asked to telephone 01538 702621 or contact Mrs Hilton at the Nelson public house. Admission is £3 for adults, children £1. Proceeds to the Holy Trinity Church, Oakamoor.
