A COMMUNITY interest company has hosted a 'Big Lunch' event.

Enabling Living Independently, Today and Everyday (ELITE), which covers the whole of North Staffordshire, held a Community Fun Day at Haregate Community Centre, Quenn's Drive, Leek, on Wednesday, July 23..

ELITE is a 'user-led' organisation which works to eliminate the barriers that prevent disabled people from living full and independent lives.

Funds raised will go towards developing and supporting ELITE clients' activities, enabling them to meet new people, and Haregate Cake Craft Group.

The organisation also offers friendly and confidential support to the elderly, less able, disabled people and their carers.

ELITE is also appealing for supporters to use an online method to help raise funds for a new minibus to take the group's clients out on day trips. Go to www.easyfundraising.com.

When there search for ELITE in the organisations which are signed up for the scheme.
