SINGING workshops are set to continue at a town's arts centre.

Following the success of their singing workshop at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in 2013, Kate Barfield and Greg Stephens will be running another singing session on Sunday, February 2, from 2pm-4.30pm.

The workshop is open to all and there is no need to be able to read music as all the learning will be by ear.

Kate said: "We will be learning some seasonally suitable songs, some with a Caribbean flavour. Tea and coffee will be available."

Kate has run community choirs in Stoke-On-Trent for many years and runs singing workshops at festivals nationally. She has also sung and played with the Boat Band for 25 years.

Greg Stephens, who has been composing choral music since the sixties, is an authority on seasonal music and has written and broadcast extensively. Three of his BBC radio programmes on the subject made Pick of the Week on Radio 4.

Kate and Greg have recently come back from a musical tour of the Caribbean.

Admission to the singing workshop will be £10. To book a place call the Foxlowe Arts Centre on 01538 386112.
