WILDLIFE enthusiasts will be out this weekend improving a woodland area.

The Leek Group of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust will be at Rod Wood, at Basford Green in Cheddleton this Sunday, February 16, coppicing trees to help create a better woodland structure.

Coppicing is a traditional woodland management technique which involves trimming trees down to ground level to stimulate new growth.

Everyone is welcome to attend to take part in this event which wil run from 10am until 1pm.

For further details, find the event at www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk.
